Is a saying from the legendary All Blacks mana. They use this to allow generations of ALL blacks to come through and leave their mark on the greatest sporting team the world has ever seen.
No matter where you are in your career, conducting yourself as a professional will help you get to where you want to be.
1- Be early.
Get to training early, organise your gear, start preparing mentally and physically for what you are about to do.
2 - Repetition.
Do the extras, ask your coach for weaknesses in your game and work on them. Want to become the best free kick taker in the world? Practice, research, practice some more, review and critique.
3 - Strength is never a weakness.
Become the most robust athlete you can be, Its a fact that stronger athletes get injured less
4 - Fuel your body.
You wouldn't use shit fuel in a Ferrari. Correctly eating around your training is vital for performance and recovery
5 - Accept the rollercoaster.
Too many times i've seen talented athletes throw away games or seasons because they get dropped one match. Know your role in a team, identify the opportunity, be a good team mate. Adjust your mindset to allow yourself to make the biggest impact you can when your opportunity arises.
6 - Better humans make better athletes
Show humility in winning, you aren't always going to be a winner. Enjoy the win but remember what got you there.
